About me:
I have a unique know-how in the very specific field of `Röstigraben Relations`, i.e. the intercultural relations between the different language regions of Switzerland.
As a former PR manager for the telecom operator sunrise, I represented the brand with the smile (that was its logo at the time) for seven years in all Swiss media, in good and bad weather, and was the catalyst for the rise of its media representation in French-speaking Switzerland.
I was born in 1967. I am therefore one year older than the Internet. After a classical childhood in the canton of Vaud, I left Lausanne at the age of 20 for Eastern Switzerland and St. Gallen to learn German and Swiss German, to study business economics and marketing and to do some internships in companies. After two years in the marketing department of a well-known Welsh steel and tool trading company (at that time B2B was not yet spoken of), I founded an advertising agency and a specialized publishing house at the age of 25. At that time, we were not yet talking about startups... Then, I collaborated in the organization of the first Multimedia Fair in Geneva, as part of the International Book and Press Fair.
Since 1993, I edit several computer publications in French and German (Orbit News, Computer Infos, Swiss Business Computing, BUG2000, Agrovision) and found a consulting firm to bring together French and German speakers. Within the framework of the computer trade fair `Computer`, I co-organize the exhibition `20 years of the PC` with the German-speaking specialist Röbi Weiss and edit the French version of the retrospective poster. I was considered at that time as one of the French-speaking historians of computing. Then I edited `Swiss Business Computing Online`, the first daily `Webzine` in French-speaking Switzerland specialized in IT and co-founded in 1998 the 1st Internet Party in Europe (Internet Partei) with some Swiss Net pioneers. The same year, I presided over the board of directors of a service company active in pre-press, lithography and multimedia until 2001 and the bursting of the Internet bubble.
Feeling the wind change, I became spokesperson for the operator sunrise in 2001 and managed its communication department in Zurich and Lausanne. I returned to the French speaking part of Switzerland in 2004, still as spokesperson and head of communication for sunrise in French-speaking Switzerland (internal and external institutional communication, lobbying, event sponsoring), to devote myself fully to French-speaking Switzerland. That same year, I obtained the diploma of SAWI/SPRI Communication Director as well as the federal diploma of Communication Consultant. I became a member of the board of directors of the Société Romande de Relations Publiques from 2005 to 2008 as well as the French-speaking representative to the board of directors of the Société Suisse de Relations Publiques (now PRsuisse) and chaired the Société Romande de Relations Publiques from 2006 to 2008.
From 2006 to 2007, I was again in charge of the Swiss PR department of sunrise/TDC Switzerland AG, moving between Lausanne and Zurich. In December 2006, I was appointed as a representative of the French-speaking part of Switzerland on the jury of the Swiss Award for Corporate Communications. After leaving sunrise, I joined the PR agency Rochat & Partenaires in January 2008 to develop the new information technologies sector and the agency`s national mandates, while continuing to fight the `Röstigraben` on a daily basis between Zurich, Basel, Bern and Geneva. I founded the social network CommunicationRomande at the end of 2008 and the social network InformatiqueRomande in 2009.
From January to November 2010 I was responsible for the institutional communication of BAT Switzerland and spokesperson for the company. In 2011 I turned to non-profit organizations and directed the communication of the Reformed Church of Neuchâtel from 2011 to 2014 and then carried out various missions of management and institutional communication for the Reformed Church of Vaud until 2017.
In 2018 I decided to change course to become an independent consultant. I develop several partnerships with rising and established players on the market of business management, digital marketing to develop innovative services for small as well as large entrepreneurs to enable them to get out of the row and transform their brand into media. I have also been working for some time on establishing a new integrated digital marketing platform on the Swiss market as well as in the French and German speaking countries, if time permits.
I am at your disposal to co-design, co-create and co-pilot your marketing and communication actions - whatever the size of your company or your NGO - in order to make you stand out from the crowd and take you to a new stage of growth.
